ABOUT NEIL DEWFIELD

Neil is one of the most highly qualified and experienced Operational Strategists and Geospatial experts currently working in UK Government Service.Neil brings a unique combination of expertise in Strategy Formulation and Deployment, Lean and Continuous Improvement and Geospatial Science; harnessing the power and leverage of location to deliver operational, market and customer service delivery improvements. Neil has spent over 30years as a Surveying and Geographic Information (GI) specialist, practicing on every continent except Antarctica (there is still time!). A member of Ordnance Survey\'s senior management team for over twenty years, Neil was responsible for developing Ordnance Survey\'s multi-national global data supply chain, during which time he conceived and assisted in the development of ISO19158, a new International Standards Organization (ISO) Specification for designing and managing international GI data supply chains. He also led the implementation of satellite-based surveying technology into Ordnance Survey Field Operations resulting in 120% productivity improvements; and established Great Britain\'s 110+ station, high-precision positioning CORS Network.Neil has worked in various senior and executive roles to develop and implement operational improvement strategies and deliver large-scale change programmes in several UK government departments and agencies. He has also worked extensively with international client-governments to design and implement enterprise-wise strategic change programmes.Neil is currently Ordnance Survey\'s Principal Advisor to Government Agencies in Abu Dhabi, UAE and the Kingdom of Bahrain. He is also a Strategic Advisor to the Department of Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) in the UK.
