I look after several product teams building the BBC’s new content management systems – the tools that help our journalists, editors, and creators publish, promote, and shape stories for audiences around the world.Highlights* Team leadership: I lead four product teams, setting clear direction and helping senior product managers grow. My focus is on making sure teams work well together, stay innovative, and keep improving the way we build.* Modernising our CMS: I oversaw the rollout of the BBC’s new content management system, replacing a platform that had been in use for nearly three decades. This meant moving every piece of content across the BBC onto the new system, supporting thousands of editorial staff through training, and handling the change so the organisation could scale and work more efficiently.* Improving the tools for storytellers: I’ve worked to make editorial workflows faster and easier to use, so journalists and editors can spend more time telling stories and less time fighting the tools. I’ve also pushed the use of AI and metadata to make content more personal, relevant, and higher quality for audiences.
