Responsible for the leadership of the Surrey County Council Pension Fund, with a team of 90+.Fully funded fund of £6b+. It includes over 500 contributing employers and members. Responsible for leading the direction of the fund, liaising with senior stakeholders and ensuring that investment, administration and funding strategies are designed to realise optimised returns for the Fund, while managing the Fund\'s commitment to responsible and sustainable investing.It is also the overall strategic lead in ensuring the efficient and effective administration of the Fund and excellence in risk and governance matters. The role leads the development of inter-authority pooling arrangements through the Border to Coast Pension Partnership, ensuring that the Pension Fund\'s interests are optimised, and making an effective contribution to the inter-authority project working so that the pooling arrangements operate in the most effective way for the benefit of all participating authorities. The role requires influencing and negotiating with external partners and legal/finance advisors and directly advises the Pensions Committee and the Local Pensions Board.The Surrey Pension Fund has been recognised for excellence in risk management, governance, financial management, responsible investing and most recently scheme administration.
