ABOUT NEIL BRADLEY
My career started in the NHS, building web systems that had to work for everyone; from intranets to online repeat prescriptions and supporting NHS Direct. Accessibility was fundamental for these systems, and it’s that experience that shaped the way I think about technology. It’s never just about the code; it’s about the people, the experience and the emotion using those systems where the technology should be in the background. It was then that I moved into agency life, working with brands like Virgin, AVG, Cloud Nine, and Mars Drinks. I built e-commerce platforms, led digital transformation projects, and spent years refining how technology could drive business growth. But agency life has its challenges, and after dealing with one too many managers who built a culture of friction instead of trust, I knew I wanted to do things differently. That’s when I set up my digital consultancy, Hanabi.Hanabi gave me the freedom to work with brands in a way that made sense; cutting to the chase, fixing broken systems, and building technology strategies that deliver. I’ve worked with startups and established brands as a technology leader, helping them scale and streamline their tech and solve problems they didn’t even realise they had. At Absolute Collagen, I played a key role in growing their revenue from £20M to £30M+. On top of this, I launched their Absolute Rewards loyalty programme and led multiple digital transformation projects. My work has always been about taking something complex, untangling it, and making it work better.Away from work, I’m drawn to things that blend precision and creativity. I love architecture and design; things that balance structure with simplicity. I’m a Formula 1 fan, not just for the sport but for the engineering, the marginal gains that make all the difference. I garden for the exact opposite reason; to step away from the screens, and enjoy a process where progress is slow, but the results are worth it.Right now, I’m focused on helping more brands get their tech right. I assist with technology strategy, replatforming, integrating systems, and making e-commerce work smarter. If you’re tackling a digital challenge and need someone who can make sense of it, let’s talk.
