I am the founder of a law firm called EM Law. We help local and foreign clients do business in the UK and we also help UK clients operate internationally, in particular in the frontier and emerging markets.I have a broad commercial practice with a focus on strategic alliances (including joint ventures) and supply contracts (in particular supply of services and technology contracts). I have extensive experience advising on the sale and purchase of private companies. I have acted for a range of organisations including FCDO, international development and multi-donor agencies such as Crown Agents, IMC Worldwide, Cardno, Infraco Africa, Green Africa Power, technology and energy companies. I have travelled throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe to help clients win business, negotiate contracts and problem-solve.I am fluent in French.Examples of my work include:• Advising on large donor-funded projects in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Bangladesh, Kenya, Ghana, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Ethiopia, St Helena and Montserrat.• Advising on tenders for the supply, integration and maintenance of software and hardware systems to the governments of Angola, Ghana, Guyana, Oman, Mexico, Ukraine, Slovenia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Philippines and Indonesia and providing legal support in the delivery of projects awarded from the successful tenders.• Advising on the supply and implementation of major capacity building projects to the governments of Angola, Congo (DRC), Nigeria, Uganda, Tanzania, Comoros, Oman, Kazakhstan and Vietnam.• Advising on the terms of joint development / seed financing arrangements for the construction of a power plant in Ghana (the \"Cenpower Project\") and a cold storage facility in Vietnam.• Drafting and negotiating a production sharing contract for an oil deal in the Middle East. • Advising on company purchases, technology contracts and general commercial contracts.
