ABOUT NEIL RENNINGER

I have proven experience in developing and commercializing novel climate-impacting technologies, from concept through implementation, and demonstrated leadership throughout a company’s evolution, from founding, through IPO, and beyond.I have had primary responsibility for raising over $250M in venture capital and federal and private foundation grants, and played key technical role in raising an additional $300M in venture and public market funds for my companies, and played a key role in helping others raise $100s of millions more. I am a believer in a) the power of mission-driven people and teams to do impactful work, and b) the shared responsibility to get the best out of those people by training them not only technically, but as leaders and managers.I have worked with a number of groups, helping them evaluate deep tech investments in areas such as biochemicals and biofuels (via fermentation and thermochemistry), cell-based meat, alt-proteins, hydrogen production, and carbon sequestration. I have been fortunate enough to share my experiences (good and bad) with amazing entrepreneurs in my ecosystem. Many of them have invited me to support their companies financially and share in their peaks and help them through the inevitable valleys. My investments have ranged from synthetic biology and cancer diagnostics to protein production and e-mobility companies.
