About Neil Burger
I am a litigation partner at Carrington Coleman. My practice focuses on business litigation of all kinds, with a particular emphasis on obtaining injunctive relief for my clients, typically in connection with non-competition agreements and company trade secrets. Additionally, I have significant experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in real estate disputes, including lawsuits relating to commercial and residential property and mineral rights. My practice also includes representation of clients in litigation concerning alleged breach of contract, fiduciary duty, minority oppression, securities violations, and tortious interference claims, as well as personal injury, employment, and discrimination lawsuits. I have cases in both state and federal court, at the trial level and on appeal.I am very active in handling pro bono cases, and volunteering my time in support of Equal Access to Justice and the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program. I, along with a team of attorneys at Carrington Coleman, represented a client wrongfully convicted of capital murder and sentenced to death. A Texas trial court granted our client\'s habeas petition and recommended that he receive a new trial. The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals subsequently accepted that ruling, and our client was released from prison, and remains free today. In recognition of Carrington Coleman\'s efforts, it received the American Bar Association\'s Death Penalty Representation Project Exceptional Service Award. I currently serve as my firm\'s Pro Bono Chair, am on the board of directors of the Shared Housing Center, and have been named to the Texas Super Lawyers list since 2013.Specialties: Business Litigation, Appellate, Real Estate Litigation, Non-Competes and Trade Secrets (including Physician agreements), Securities Litigation
