ABOUT NEIL MCCANN

As VP Finance, Capital Markets and Corporate Development at a ~US$7 billion enterprise value industrial company, I report directly to the CFO and lead global investor relations, treasury, tax, risk management, and corporate development functions. I serve as the primary liaison to current and prospective investors and equity research analysts, shaping the company’s financial narrative and capital markets strategy. Prior to this role, I served as Finance Director in Western Canada and later in South America (Chile, Argentina), partnering closely with mining business unit leaders to drive commercial growth, deliver timely financial forecasting and analysis, and identify cost-saving and risk mitigation opportunities. Over the past 20 years, I’ve built a broad foundation of technical, operational, and financial expertise across multiple geographies and end markets including power, mining, oil & gas, and heavy machinery. My leadership style has been shaped by international experience and originating from team competition as a professional athlete, bringing discipline, resilience, and a performance mindset to every challenge. A significant portion of my career has been anchored in M&A, where I’ve led and executed numerous successful cross-border transactions ranging from $100 million to over $10 billion. This includes end-to-end deal leadership executing complex transactions from valuation through diligence, structuring, and closing.
