ABOUT NEIL MARTIN

I am a proven leader in the pharmaceutical sector who has led global high performing teams to deliver a significant number of first and best to market launches that have transformed the delivery of Respiratory care for both Asthma and COPD. I am a Respiratory Physician by training, based in the UK, currently serving as Franchise Head (VP) in Late Respiratory and Immunology R+D at AstraZeneca. I have over a decades experience in the pharmaceutical industry across medical and drug development and I have focused in respiratory conditions like asthma, severe asthma, EGPA, HES, CRSwNP, and COPD working on some of the disease areas biggest products and launches. Beyond industry, I have over 20 years of experience as a Respiratory Medicine Consultant and continue to practice clinically in the Difficult Asthma Clinic. My clinical expertise has focused on managing complex asthma, exercise asthma and occupational consequences of asthma. I hold deep leadership experience across diverse fields, including the military, elite sport, academia, healthcare, and industry, bringing a unique perspective to building and managing effective teams. I am passionate about collaborating with global experts to bring emerging science to the clinic for patients with high unmet needs as well as delivering a better future for respiratory patients.
