Main responsibilities within this role is to directly provide leadership and line management to the Estates Department staff in order to deliver the strategic planning of the College Estate with facility services. I provide the link between the Estate Services targets and objectives and the academic planning and management functions to ensure that the College is providing an appropriate Campus environment, and facilities compatible with the delivery of the Corporate, Departmental Strategic, and Asset Management Plans. I am currently directly responsible for a revenue budget in the region of £ 1.5 million along with Capital investment annually in the region of £2 million. I am more recently involved in the College\'s \"New Build” scheme, which is in the region of £7.5 million. I am directly responsible for five Estates Staff and 25 Cleaning staff, and Management of a team of 6 security staff. My main achievement to date is bringing the College up to legislative requirement and standard for emergency lighting, electrical testing, automatic doors and local exhaust extracts, which were not being carried out adequately. I have also set in place a new planned maintenance regime throughout the College. On the strategic side, have drafted a new medium to long term Property Strategy which has been adopted by Corporation. From the vision of this document, I am now embarking on Phase 1, which is a new build project (suggested above) for the College. This scheme in turn releases existing accommodation for alternative use (also included as phase 1b of the adopted Strategy) My strengths include procurement of either in-house or contracts with external companies resources, as are necessary for the efficient operation of each Campus within budget. Farnborough College currently has two Main Campus (Farnborough and Aldershot), along with small residential assets and open spaces. I am fully DBS Checked and PREVENT Trained
