ABOUT NEIL JACKSON
I am a degree qualified Drilling Engineer and have successfully completed the Fearnley and Proctor Well Engineering Competency scheme. During my career in the oil industry, I have gained a wealth of experience, with operational exposure to offshore operations, including semi-submersible, drill ship and jack up operations in water depths from 44m through to 1700m. In addition to the offshore operations I have also provided wellsite supervision for a land operation, onshore Denmark.I have experience in both exploration (including wild cat wells with high H2S risk and un-confirmed pressure regimes) and development drilling (including extended reach drilling). I am fully conversant in conceptual design, detailed design, well abandonment design, risk mitigation, tendering and evaluation and supporting rig operations.I have been a key member of planning and operations teams for a variety of projects in multiple locations which have each presented their own unique challenges. I have experience in remote climates and in North Sea operations. Each project has been planned and executed utilising a well delivery process and delivery expectations have always been met. Each project has followed the country regulations, and where they are non-existent I have ensured that a minimum standard (UK North Sea regulations) have been applied for drilling and abandonment operations.
