ABOUT NEIL HUTCHISON
Hi, I\'m Neil. I am (in no particular order) a counsellor, a consultant, a founder, a Dad, a music fan and a thinker. I would say I primarily identify as a human being first then all these things thereafter!Having worked in various roles across financial and professional services for almost 20 years, I retrained as a counsellor and launched Room for Therapy (and it\'s younger sister Room for Growth) with my co-founder and business partner, Philip Shaw.I am a proud straddler of worlds, bringing my experience of building and maintaining environments of accountability, resilience, and psychological safety in high-pressure settings to organisations, but now shaped and informed by the principles and practices of therapy in individual and group settings.In addition, I have been, and continue to be, a passionate supporter of various charities, whether as a fundraiser, volunteer or Trustee. This drive has fed into our philosophy of widening access to the power of the therapeutic relationship, whether through affordable group therapy or corporate education and support.
