Leading a fully integrated gene-editing and virus facility across Italy and Germany for the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL). Directing pipelines producing transgenic animals, cells & viruses, with projects including gene-humanisations, disease-inducing mutations, conditional loci, deletions and endogenous tags. Engineering recombinant viruses tailored for neuronal labelling and tracing, CRISPR screens, and vector delivery. My scientific background lies in infection immunology, with a PhD and postdoctoral experience in this field. I have been managing gene-editing facilities since 2009.
