Most scaling businesses do not stall because people stop working hard.They stall when growth outpaces the way decisions are made, priorities are set, and accountability is held.I have worked with leadership teams operating at full pace, where the numbers still look acceptable on paper, but confidence in the direction of travel is starting to slip.This is usually the stage where churn begins to creep up, cash burn becomes harder to control, and teams stay busy while momentum quietly leaks away.I work with founders, boards, and investors at precisely this point.I am a scaleup COO and Interim CFO with experience across FTSE 100 organisations and SaaS scaleups. I am typically brought in when execution needs to be stabilised and simplified without slowing momentum, adding bureaucracy, or disrupting what already works.Recent work includes:• Leading a SaaS business through a 6× ARR acquisition and multiple funding rounds• Resetting churn, onboarding, and customer outcomes in a scaling SaaS environment• Restoring cash discipline and decision cadence while maintaining growth momentumAs organisations scale, complexity increases. Decisions slow, trade-offs blur, and activity can start to replace judgement.
