ABOUT NEIL HIGINBOTHAM

A health and safety practitioner who is comfortable communicating to all levels of an organisation. I am highly motivated and believe I work for every single person in an organisation to help improve the safety culture. I am systems driven and highly competent at the creation and improvement of EHS management systems. I believe that using the latest technology to make things easier is the natural progression of safety in the workplace. Achievements- Creation of a contractor control system at a large food factory. I helped put in place the framework to better control contractors on site including the proactive review of RAMS, permit control system and enforcement of the sites high standards- Improvement of the sites H&S incident tracking and reporting system to allow automatic production of KPI’a, reports and actions. This created a significant amount of free time to allow for proper follow up and investigation of incidents- Creation of a new sites EHS management system from scratch. This included document creation, risk assessment, SOP/SSOW, legionella, fire, DSEAR, Ammonia and equipment control. I am also immensely proud of the sites standards and H&S culture of which I was a key driving force.
