About Neil Gordon
With 17+ years in construction technology, I’ve built a career around bridging the gap between design and construction—developing systems, implementing tools, and leading people through change. My focus has always been simple: make technology practical in the field so teams coordinate better, reduce rework, and deliver with confidence.I’m an Innovation Systems Architect who designs and implements practical, scalable workflows that address issues teams have often learned to live with. A few examples that define my approach:Model → Drawing Mapping System: Created a single, trusted source of truth that eliminated confusion between digital models and paper drawings.Unified Coordination Workflow: Standardized the connection between BIM, design, and field execution into a repeatable process that improved alignment and decision-making.AR Field Alignment: Built an augmented reality method for real-space validation that earned buy-in from a 40-year foreman who told me, “Most tech never delivers. But this actually makes a difference.”At GenCap Construction, I was promoted to Director of Design & Virtual Construction after building the company’s digital program from the ground up. That experience strengthened my ability to connect high-level strategy with hands-on execution—making sure systems actually work for the people who rely on them every day.My work has spanned early 4D scheduling pilots, AR field programs, digital QA/QC, and company-wide BIM standards. Across all of it, one theme holds true: people, process, and technology must align around field realities for innovation to stick.I’m now looking to join a team that’s pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in design, construction, and field implementation. Titles aren’t what drive me.Building systems and prototypes that change how teams work—that’s what motivates me.If your organization is looking for someone who turns innovation into real, repeatable results on the jobsite, let’s connect.
