ABOUT NEIL G MARSH

A Chartered Engineer with over 29 years experience gained in both Contracting and Consultancy within Building Design and Construction, based in the Midlands, UK. Currently HS2’s Building Services Lead & Engineering Delivery Partner (EDP) Interface Manager for both HS2 Midlands Stations & Automatic People Mover, with previous roles as Engineering Manager, Senior Project Manager and Lead Building Services Engineer managing and leading specialist teams to deliver Building Services and multi-disciplinary designs on Major Projects and as well as process driven industrial design, hotels, airports, leisure and commercial projects within the UK and Middle East. Previous specific experience includes CEM for Euston Station HS2 Enabling works, Lead MEP Design Engineer for Birmingham New Street station, Gulf News newspaper printing facilities, Doha metro, ferry terminals, new build sport centres, retirement villages, luxury apartment developments, primary health care units, student accommodation, office blocks and numerous hotels for major chains. The majority of the projects were managed from concept design through to final commissioning and handover. Each involved leading technical aspects, reviewing finances and liaising with the Client on a regular basis throughout the project design and construction period. With a proven track record in redefining operations to increase efficiency, productivity and establishing new operational, design & installation processes working at both functional and strategic levels; relishing in challenging projects to utilise strong engineering knowledge base and extensive experience. Providing technical assurance and building trust with stakeholders to ensure the efforts are focused on the right places are to achieve the goal of each project within its specific constraints.
