ABOUT NEIL COLCLOUGH
Former Royal Marines Commando, Neil emigrated to the U.S. in 1998 and joined Vail Mountain’s security team during the Two Elk fires. Over the years, he earned certifications in whitewater rafting, swiftwater rescue, wildland firefighting, EMT-B, and Outdoor Emergency Care. He collaborated with agencies like the FBI, DHS, FEMA, ATF, and USFS and served on various safety committees and councils in Vail, CO.In 2008, Neil transitioned to Vail Resorts’ corporate headquarters as the risk manager, supporting the Lodging, Corporate, and Real Estate divisions. He was actively involved in the AH & LA Risk Management and Safety & Security committees for over six years.In 2014, Neil became the risk manager at Inspirato, managing risk, insurance, claims, and safety. He co-led the selection and implementation of security for the 2015 World Alpine Ski Championships in Vail and Beaver Creek. At Inspirato Neil also supported ESG, something he is personally committed to. In January 2025 Neil joined Sage Hospitality Group to support their Risk, Audit and Compliance teams. Neil\'s approach includes active listening, innovation, business immersion, transparent/ candid communication, and psychological safety. He currently serves as Chair of the RIMS DEI Advisory Council and President of the Rocky Mountain RIMS Chapter for WY, CO, and NM.
