WORK HISTORY
Director, Connectivity Netdevops & Ai Ops @GSK
Stevenage, GB
As Director of Connectivity NetDevOps and AI Ops, I lead the strategy, delivery, and governance of automation, orchestration, observability, and tooling across the enterprise network environment. My remit is to modernise the way network services are managed—reducing manual effort, improving reliability, and enabling a shift towards proactive and intelligent operations. I work across engineering, architecture, product, and operations to ensure that platforms are scalable, secure, and aligned to strategic priorities.Key areas of focus include:Automation & Orchestration: Delivering standardised automation frameworks for routine changes—such as VLANs, DNS records, ACLs, and IP helpers—while implementing a central orchestration platform that enables self-service execution with proper controls and oversight.Observability: Overseeing integration of telemetry and monitoring platforms to provide a unified operational view, improve fault detection, and support faster incident resolution. Driving improvements in alert quality, root cause analysis, and operational insight.AI Ops & Machine Learning: Leading the adoption of AI and ML models to support use cases like anomaly detection, WAN capacity forecasting, and configuration drift prevention. Ensuring these models are operationally effective and grounded in real infrastructure behaviour.Generative AI: Exploring and piloting the use of GenAI to enhance network operations—supporting tasks such as automated troubleshooting, root cause summarisation, incident report generation, and ChatOps-style guidance for engineers. Working closely with enterprise AI teams to align these capabilities with broader transformation goals.Beyond delivery, I’m also responsible for establishing platform governance—setting standards for implementation, managing risk, and enabling teams across the organisation to adopt automation and observability safely and effectively.
