This system allows patients to seamlessly book appointments with doctors through a natural language interface, integrating advanced LLM workflows with real-time scheduling APIs.Key contributions:Architected a modular, functional programming-based backend using Flask, SQLAlchemy, and Python, ensuring maintainability, scalability, and clean separation of concerns.Integrated advanced conversational flows with OpenAI GPT models via LangChain, including fallback LLM strategies for high reliability.Implemented dynamic doctor & slot selection pipelines, enabling users to pick doctors by specialization and view live availability.Engineered natural language understanding workflows, using the LLM to extract structured entities (doctor names, dates, times) and validate them against live schedules.Designed robust state management & session persistence with UUID-based sessions stored in SQLite, supporting multi-turn conversations.Developed external API integrations to fetch doctors and book appointments, complete with payload validation and graceful error handling.Optimized LLM prompts and orchestrations, dramatically improving booking accuracy and conversational UX.
