Review SOR Received from on Technical specifications in order to shortlist vendors. Prepare supplier bid list & float RFQ/RFP/RFI to suppliers. Ensure TRSO signoff from SQ. Analyze quotation received for RFQ and shortlist most suitable vendor after negotiation. Negotiation & Commercial discussion for part price & tooling cost settlement. Make purchasing documents & take approval from higher authority according to APV & release PO at the given budget Obtain internal approval for vendor finalization through Sourcing table and release PO Meeting cost reduction targets through various techniques like VA/VE (Value Analysis & Value Engineering) ideas, Localization & Alternate source development. Place purchase orders with suppliers for the procurement of production Material as required by forecast and the production schedule. Monitor status of open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of all materials, including timely resolution, communication and mitigation of future potential problems Expedite or defer orders as required based on schedule/inventory changes Determine and establish optimal inventory levels based on forecast, demand variation and material lead times Coordinate material flows throughout product/BOM changes, obsolescence, and the introduction of new suppliers and/or materials due to new product development PO creation and timely PO acknowledgement from suppliers Manage and resolve issues regarding PO to invoice discrepancies, returns and quality problems with suppliers Setup & maintain material master system planning parameters ( MOQ, Lead time, safety stocks) Collaborate with internal customers and provide a high level of customer service, including recommending solutions, resources, and alternative supply options Managed logistics related tasks to transport material to production lines, communicating with line-side SCM team and Transportation team to ensure efficient delivery of material. Responsible for scheduling and handling warehouse team to meet the demands of the internal line-side stores, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize production loss.
