About Neha Mohta
I am Neha Mohta, a passionate and accomplished researcher with a PhD from IISC - Center for Nano Science and Engineering (CeNSE), Bangalore. My doctoral research focused on 2-Dimensional material-based artificial synapse for innovative neuromorphic applications. With over 8 years of experience as a Research Scholar in Semiconductor Electronics and Device Physics, I have honed my expertise in various aspects of the field. During my tenure at CeNSE, my research revolved around semiconductor field effect transistors, non-volatile memories, and photodetectors, encompassing device design, material characterization, device nanofabrication, and comprehensive device characterization and packaging. Moreover, I spearheaded the design and deployment of an Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD)/Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) system, enabling in-house growth of 2-D films from assembly to write Labview interfaces. This successful implementation streamlined research processes and significantly contributed to our capabilities in 2-D material synthesis. Currently, I am actively working on Single Photon Detectors in quantum computing for applications in the telecommunication sector. Additionally, I am excited to expand my skill set with a focus on semiconductor statistical process control, machine learning, AI, and data science. I am deeply passionate about making significant contributions to the field of semiconductor electronics, quantum computing, and neuromorphic applications.
