My journey as a Data Engineer has allowed me to dive deep into the world of data engineering, especially within cloud-native platforms like Microsoft Azure. It has taken me through various stages of the data engineering lifecycle—from ingestion to transformation — and I thrive on creating solutions that are not just functional but also scalable.At StarTech, I work remotely as a Data Engineer, designing and building robust data architectures using Databricks and Azure Data Factory. One of my proudest moments was leading a project that migrated over 500GB of critical business data from SQL Server to Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS). This not only improved our reporting capabilities but also laid the groundwork for advanced analytics initiatives across the organization.Before this role, I spent over two years at Cymax Group Technologies where I honed my skills in transforming raw data into meaningful insights using Pyspark and Spark SQL. Seeing these transformations directly impact our business intelligence efforts was rewarding, as they helped teams make informed decisions faster than ever.My academic background includes a Master’s degree in Computer Science with an AI specialization from Western University. During my time there as a Teaching Assistant, I discovered my passion for mentoring others—a value I carry into every team collaboration today.
