Design reliable and cost-effective utility scale energy storage systems suited for optimized use-case operation and maximized value over project lifetime • Determine optimal BESS and BOP system sizing based on technology, costs, application, standards and other applicable constraints • Prepare & review single line diagrams, three-line diagrams, and site layout designs for permitting & compliance with code, best practices, and utility requirements • Support procurement of BESS equipment by performing technical bids evaluation & interfacing with battery and inverter vendors leading to contract preparation & review • Support selection of EPC and OE contractors and review/approve detailed design and electrical studies • Interface with internal stakeholders (project managers, project engineers, software & construction teams) and external customers (utilities, AHJs, contractors) to ensure successful execution of projects • Actively support the automation and modelling team in developing tools to improve processes and efficiency
