ABOUT NEHA HARDE
I am a PhD candidate at Christ University, Bangalore, specializing in Data Science, with a strong research focus on microplastic detection, identification, and quantification in edible products using deep learning and optical microscopy images.My doctoral research centers on developing AI-driven and multimodal deep learning models (CNN, YOLO, DeepLab, segmentation and classification approaches) to detect different microplastic types such as fibers, fragments, and beads, and to quantify their concentration accurately. I am particularly interested in applying computer vision, image processing, and multimodal learning to solve real-world environmental and food safety challenges.I have 9+ years of teaching experience in Computer Science and Engineering, with expertise in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Science, and Research Methodology. Alongside academics, I actively work on journal publications, conference presentations, and applied research projects in AI and environmental analytics.
