I am a seasoned technical leader with 17 years of experience in building and operating large scale global systems for B2C and B2B products. I am passionate about hiring and growing a strong and diverse group of leaders at every level – everything starts with a strong team! I pride myself on building organizations with a culture of working backwards from the customer, strong ownership and collaboration, and a relentless focus on quality. I love solving complex problems to build delightful, well-engineered products. I have been extremely fortunate to be a part of rapid growth in two different areas of Amazon - Transportation technology and Amazon Business, and learn from several talented people along the way. In my most recent role as the Director of Foundational Services, I built and led a global organization of 250 people across engineering, data science and product development. The systems and products built by my team provide foundational capabilities required for businesses to purchase on Amazon. These capabilities range from business identity and access management, procurement controls, integrations with third party procurement systems to invoicing and spend analytics. My teams are responsible for defining near and long term strategy across these areas, building high performance critical services with hundreds of internal clients, providing technical support for integrations and running cross functional programs that span multiple organizations.
