ABOUT NEHA D. SHAH

Hi! I’m Neha and I’m a Registered Dietitian. I help those with IBD, ostomy, short bowel, fatty liver, and cirrhosis (along with other diagnoses beyond the top five) enjoy and tolerate plant-rich foods to thrive their gut. I also sub-specialize in cultural foods for South Asian gut and liver health. I love what I do and my goal is to bring specialized care to the community, especially to those who are struggling to find such care to help them feel better and move forward. I serve as a mentor to dietitians entering the GI nutrition field. Having a mentor is helpful to enrich skills and knowledge. Mentorship will offer engaging discussions to navigate care through case consultations, promote active participation in research initiatives, and to master manuscript writing. I research, educate, and write to move nutrition care forward. Engaging in evidence-based nutrition research and writing helps to learn barriers and improve outcomes to advance GI and/or liver nutrition care. Some of my significant contributions include providing lectures to GI fellowships, presenting at GI conferences, and having over 25 manuscripts published in prestigious GI journals. Furthermore, I\'m proud to be the Nutrition Co-Editor for the Journal of Practical Gastroenterology to bring a nutrition voice forward into the literature.@nehagastrord (Facebook/Instagram/Twitter)
