About Neetu Hariharan
Currently based in Washington, DC as Health Systems Advisor in the Office of Health Systems at USAID with over six years of development experience in providing technical and analytic support, and collaborating with a diverse range global and country partners to advance health goals in low- and middle-income countries. Previous work experience with Results For Development as a Senior Program Associate providing technical assistance on various health systems projects with a particular focus on private sector engagement and financing; managing project operations; and facilitating cross-country collaboration with a variety of health system stakeholders across many health system challenges. Prior to R4D, I also served as a Technical Advisor for the Chad Guinea Worm Eradication Program with the Carter Center and gained extensive in-country experience managing an active surveillance zone, strengthening educational and behavioral interventions, and effectively collaborating and communicating with national, local and intergovernmental agencies in an effort to halt guinea worm transmission. Completed a Masters Degree in Public Health at Emory University\'s Rollins School of Public Health, Department of Global, with concentrations in Community Health and Development, Maternal & Child Health, and Epidemiology. Previous experience in HIV research, development of surveys and assessment tools for the Georgia Department of Public Health, administration/advisor/mentorship. Completed a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in Global Studies, with a concentration in Global Health. Minors were received in Chemistry and African Studies, with a Leadership Certificate.
