About Neethu Nazar
Hello! I am a recent graduate in Mechanical Engineering at Northwestern University, Illinois, USA. My primary research interests lie in the intersection of advanced manufacturing, materials design, and process optimization. As part of my master\'s research, I studied laser-based multi-material additive manufacturing jointly at Argonne National Lab and Northwestern\'s FAST-AM Lab, supervised by Prof. Tao Sun. I also worked as an Additive Manufacturing Systems Engineer at Phase3D, supporting the advancement of in-situ quality monitoring in powder bed additive manufacturing.Before starting at Northwestern, I worked as a scientist for 3+ years at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), where I was responsible for the integration, welding, and heat treatment of the cryogenic, semi-cryogenic, and earth-storable engines and stages, including the LVM3 launch vehicle, Test Vehicles for the Human Space Program, and the high-thrust CE-20 engine. I am a graduate in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Trivandrum, and in Space & Telecommunication Laws from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. I am a passionate researcher in the fields of Manufacturing, Metallurgy, Materials Science, Space Laws & Policies. Links to my research projects and publications are available below.
