ABOUT NEERJA AGGARWAL

PSA - please write a short message in any connection requests. I’m a deep tech engineer with expertise spanning physics, computation, and imaging. My Ph.D. focuses on computational hyperspectral imaging — codesigning cutting-edge optics hardware & learning algorithms for biological imaging and medical diagnostics. I’m passionate about pushing the boundaries of light, cameras, and computation to build real world products across women\'s diagnostics, climate monitoring, space and more. I am now a Deep Optics Engineer at GLASS Imaging, a fast-growing startup building next generation of Neural ISPs and co-designed cameras. I\'m an empathic and visionary technical leader. I currently serve as the MIT Club of Nor Cal president leading a team of 50+ volunteers and 100+ events per year. I’ve led research collaborations with 15+ researchers across four institutions, mentored four undergraduates, managed artistic teams of 30+ as a theater director, and previously served as President of Photobears (UC Berkeley\'s Optical Society Chapter).I care about bridging the gap between innovation and impact. Raised in an entrepreneurial immigrant family, I participated in business creation from a young age. I pursued a minor in Entrepreneurship through classes at Haas School of Business. I received my B.S. and M.Eng from MIT in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science (and double major in Theater Arts). I have work experience across industries - biotech, medical device, energy, consumer product.Outside of engineering, I love learning new things - whether it\'s pursuing my private pilot’s license, teaching windsurfing, or learning the cello as an adult :) I’m dedicated to empowering women, having volunteered with Big Sister of Bay Area, Girl Scouts of NorCal, and Bay Area Disc Association.Lastly I\'m human. I\'m a sensitive sleeper who wishes to be a better morning person, a vegetarian who struggles to get enough protein/iron, and an adult who is constantly rebalancing everything in life. Let\'s connect!
