About Neeraj Kumar Mehra
A sport policy strategist, Olympic Studies alumnus, and youth development advocate with over two decades of experience across government, academia, and international sport institutions. My journey—from grassroots sport in India to global platforms like the International Olympic Academy and UN related projects—has been driven by a singular mission: to harness sport as a tool for dignity, inclusion, and sustainable development. As a former Research Officer with the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, I’ve led flagship initiatives including the Target Olympic Podium Scheme, Khelo India, and international cooperation with UN agencies, WADA, and Olympic bodies. I’m the first Indian to witness the Postgraduate Programme in Olympic Studies in collaboration with the International Olympic Academy, Greece, and I hold fellowships from the IOA, and Olympism for Humanity Academy. My expertise spans strategic budgeting, legal compliance, curriculum design, and stakeholder engagement. I’ve curated mental wellness toolkits for youth, validated procurement for sport science labs, and drafted institutional contracts with precision and cultural sensitivity. I’ve also served as a speaker, trainer, and board member across national and international forums—from martial arts federations to human rights commissions. I believe in blending Indian philosophical frameworks with global best practices to build resilient, inclusive sport ecosystems. Whether managing mega events, designing policy, or mentoring youth, I bring operational rigor, cultural intelligence, and a deep commitment to Olympism and social justice.Let’s connect if you’re working at the intersection of sport, education, humanitarian action, or global development.
