I am a Senior Structural Engineer with over a decade of experience working in large, constraint-heavy engineering environments. My work sits at the intersection of technical rigor, systems thinking, and decision-making under uncertainty.Over the years, I have become particularly interested in how complex organisations make decisions - and where those decisions break down due to ambiguity, cognitive overload, or misaligned incentives. This has shaped how I approach problems: focusing less on isolated outputs and more on clarity, trade-offs, adoption, and long-term leverage.Alongside core engineering responsibilities, I actively design internal systems and automation to reduce repetitive thinking, improve consistency, and support better decision-making. This includes building logic-driven workflows, decision frameworks, and lightweight automation using Python and AI-assisted tools.I enjoy working across disciplines - engineering, BIM, and digital teams - to translate intent into execution, align stakeholders, and scale effective practices. I’m especially drawn to problems where trust, user experience, and decision quality matter more than speed or surface-level optimisation.

   My role at Mott Macdonald involves working on structural packages with close coordination as an extended part of Mott Macdonald London Team. I have worked on varied challenging structures spanning from Residential Towers, Steel Roofs for railway stations, Velodrome Stage 1 design, Football stadiums across UK & Airport Extension Programme.Projects/Tasks involved -1. RIBA 2 design of Stansted Airport Transformation Programme - London- Involved in delivering RIBA 2 design of Stansted Airport Transformation Programme which included extension of existing terminal building & construction of some ancillary buildings around the development- Involved in producing design reports, hand calculations & sketches, structural analysis models and loading plans- I was also invited & sponsored to London for two weeks to visit the site and work closely with the design team.2. Stage E design for Casement Park - Belfast- Supported the final stage E design process for the Casement Park grandstand, assuming the role of the single point of contact for the Lead Project Office (LPO). Ensured effective coordination and seamless communication throughout the project- Conducted comprehensive member sizing for composite and non-composite beams, columns, and bracings, optimizing the design for structural efficiency.3. Leadership and Team Management- Acting as a line manager for a team of 4-5 staff members, effectively delegating tasks, monitoring progress, and providing mentorship to facilitate their professional development.4. Sustainable Design and Embodied Carbon Calculations- Demonstrated a deep commitment to sustainable engineering practices by actively integrating embodied carbon calculations into design processes- Delivered lectures on embodied carbon, raising awareness and promoting sustainable design principles within the organization.5. Learning Computational Design tools-Producing scripts to automate hand calculations using Grasshopper.
