About Neeraj Chhabria

I was born and raised in Indore, India, my father was a commodities floor trader at the Soybean Oil Processors Association of India (SOPA), and my mother a nurturing homemaker, a household shaped by emotional intensity and financial volatility. Growing up, I learned early how to read people, emotions and uncertainty, skills that later evolved into a deep instinct for Pattern Recognition and Emotional Intelligence as I navigated markets or just life in general. In hindsight, those early experiences gave me something far more than comfort, it gave me discernment, the ability to sense shift and adapt quickly whether in Markets, Data or Human Behavior.I graduated from Prestige Institute of Management and Research, specializing in Finance. My early career started in Investment Banking Outreach and Advisory, working on debt and equity raising across firms like Maa Vihar, S Kataria & Mirchandani Group. In 2020, the pandemic disrupted both markets and momentum. As real estate slowed, I pivoted back to working as a Risk Associate at my family\'s brokering business determined to deepen my understanding of financial markets.The journey led me to Duke University\'s Fuqua School of Business, where I completed my Master of Science in Quantitative Management - Finance Track. Duke transformed my thinking academically, professionally and personally. I immersed myself in all sorts of modelling and applied data science, working with global peers and world class faculty who reshaped how I saw both markets and the world.Yet 2023 brought another sharp lesson. massive layoffs, financial instability and shift in immigration policies turned my ambition into survival. After six difficult months of unemployment, I joined IHG Hotels (Atlanta) as a Data Analyst, managing ETL pipelines and delivering insights across transactional customer data to improve business KPIs of hotels under the umbrella. But I was not aligned. In early 2025, I relocated back to India choosing health, clarity and purpose. Today I teach Data & Decision Sciences to MBA analytics students. My purpose is to equip students with human centric skills so that they can build high agency, meaningful and resilient careers in this AI-driven world.Beyond work, I am deeply invested in health, tennis and conscious living.
