About Neeraj Kumar

Neeraj Kumar is currently working as a Scientist \'C\' in the Cyber Security and Cyber Forensics research group of C-DAC (Centre for Development of Advance Computing), MeitY, Govt. of India. With over six years of experience in research and software development, his expertise spans usable security and privacy, human factors in cybersecurity, web security, phishing, ransomware attacks, malware analysis, cybercrime, targeted attacks, cybercrime, blockchain security, cryptography, and machine learning and artificial intelligence.Previously, he worked as a Cyber Security Researcher at TCS Research, contributing to advanced security solutions and vulnerability assessment methodologies. He holds an M.Tech in Information Technology (HCI specialization) from Allahabad and a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Delhi. During his master\'s, he was awarded the MHRD scholarship by the Government of India.His research has been published in top-tier cybersecurity conferences, including APWG eCrime and HCI International, and he has filed multiple patents. As a key researcher in government-funded projects, he has contributed to the \"Research and Development of Innovative Mechanisms towards Key(s) Recovery in Advent of Ransomware Attack\" by MeitY. Additionally, he played a role in the development of GHOST, an indigenously designed cryptographic tool for strategic applications.Beyond research, he has served as a Course Instructor for blockchain technology training programs under the e-ITEC scheme of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India and has conducted cybersecurity training for government officials at BIPARD. His responsibilities extend to project management, software development, and cybersecurity policy formulation.Dedicated to addressing real-world cybersecurity challenges, Neeraj Kumar continues to explore innovative approaches to strengthen digital security and resilience.
