ABOUT NEEMA DEASY

A self motivated and goal driven university student from Barking and Dagenham, London. I previously studied Biology, Chemistry and Geography at A Level has given me a range of transferable skills in which I aim to pursue a career in cyber security/digital marketing. I’m striving towards making positive change within my community, I believe in amplifying the voices of young people while advocating on social issues and inclusivity on a local and global scale. I take pride in community activism and social justice, such as ambassadorship for Awaken Genius which is community lead organisation that offers support to children from minority groups who have endured childhood adversity navigate the education system. Aiming to reduce the need for pupil referral units, youth violence and unleashing a potential that is already within, whilst simultaneously raising awareness systemic discrimination and actively changing these systems to abolish it. Systems cannot protect those who it was never designed for in the first place.
