ABOUT NEELRATAN SINGH

With over eight years of work experience as a scientist in geology, I am passionate about applying my knowledge and skills to address environmental and social challenges. Currently, I work as a Scientist E1 at CSIR Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research (CIMFR), where I conduct research on various aspects of geology, such as hydrogeology, geomorphology, mineralogy, and geochemistry. I also use GIS, modeling, and Microsoft Office tools to analyze and present data, and collaborate with other scientists and stakeholders on multidisciplinary projects. Previously, I worked as a Scientist C at Inter-University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), where I studied the effects of ion beam irradiation on different geological materials. I also served as a Young Scientist and Principal Investigator at Jawaharlal Nehru University, where I led a project on the impact of vegetation cover on rainfall using remote sensing images. I have a Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Delhi, a P.G. Diploma in Disaster Management from Indira Gandhi National Open University, and multiple publications and certifications in my field of expertise. I am motivated by the mission of CSIR CIMFR to provide scientific and technological solutions for the mining, tunneling, landslides,slope stability & Disaster Management and to contribute to the sustainable development of the country. I value teamwork, innovation, and excellence, and I seek to bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the organization.
