About Neelam Chand
For the past 14 years, I’ve been immersed in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) work, but it’s been so much more than a professional journey—it’s been personal. Along the way, I’ve wrestled with tough questions about what belonging truly means, not just in systems and workplaces but within ourselves. Criticism of DEIB as divisive challenged me to reflect deeply, leading to a healing journey that reshaped how I approach both my work and my life.Now, my work integrates DEIB with restorative justice, collective healing, and a commitment to creating spaces where people feel seen, valued, and encouraged to grow into their fullest selves. I believe that building a more just community requires more than policies or frameworks—it’s about fostering authentic connections, repairing harm, and creating environments where we can heal and thrive together.
