The Office of Project Development and Delivery (OPDD) has the goal of successfully and efficiently developing and delivering projects that are aligned with the values of the Moore-Miller Administration’s Leave No One Behind Agenda. The office works across various modes of transportation including transit, roads, highways, bridges, ports, and airports.Work Areas include- Project Tracking: Tracking projects for visibility and reporting to leadership. Gather information from the modes to identify crucial decision points, milestones and points of high visibility in the project and make this information available to leadership on a regular basis- Project Delivery: Supporting mega and major projects. Developing the capacity to manage such projects within OPDD- Assessment and Improvement: Understanding current baselines, identifying improvement areas, and employing change management techniques to deploy changes across the department- Workforce Development: Establishing a program to implement an Executive Order from the Governor. Working in partnership with the Maryland Department of Labor on the Road to Careers grant program to increase skilled workers in the transportation sector.
