Operate and perform setups on a range of machines with strong proficiency across multiple control systems such as FANUC, HAAS, MAZATROL, OKK, TAKUMI, and OKAMA, adapting efficiently to different control logics and programming environments.Thoroughly review job travelers, setup sheets, SPC charts, part diagrams, and prepare tool lists at the start of each job; interpret manufacturing instructions and apply engineering drawing knowledge to plan setups and machining strategy for precision aerospace components.Independently create and verify CNC programs using MASTERCAM, calculating appropriate feeds and speeds based on material type, part geometry, and machine capability, while simultaneously coordinating with the Tool Crib department to requisition and prepare all required tools.Retrieve approved programs directly from the system directory, and execute complete machine setup on CNC Vertical Mills —including fixture installation, edge finding, and bore indication using dial indicators and edge finders—to ensure exact part alignment.Accurately establish tool and work offsets, and apply cutter compensation and D-comp adjustments to achieve tight tolerances and flawless first-off parts, consistently working within precision ranges of ±0.001” or tighter.Perform first-off part inspections using advanced precision measurement instruments including micrometers, vernier calipers, height gauges, gauge blocks, bore gauges, gauge pins, and thickness gauges, verifying all critical dimensions and GD & T features before production handover.Interpret and follow Statistical Process Control (SPC) protocols to record key feature measurements and ensure process stability during first-off validation, then send the part to the CMM inspection team for complete dimensional verification.Oversee the handover of approved setups to machine operators by clearly documenting setup parameters, tool lists, and production notes to ensure seamless production continuity across shifts.
