About Neel Date
I\'m Neel, a student at UNC Chapel Hill studying Business Administration and Statistics. I am interested in the intersection of finance, data analysis, and public policy. My early experiences tutoring underserved students and advocating for STEM access at the North Carolina General Assembly shaped how I think about decision making. They taught me that progress depends on clear reasoning, honest analysis, and listening to the people most affected. Sometimes that means financial logic. Other times, it means understanding incentives, tradeoffs, and long term consequences.I am now exploring how these principles apply in finance and investing. As a Senior FP & A Analyst Intern at Healthy Amplified, I support due diligence and investor readiness by maintaining financial data rooms, reconciling data, and working across finance, product, and operations. Previously at Planck AI, I analyzed financial statements and portfolio data using Python based LLM workflows, gaining hands on experience with tools like Qdrant and Ollama to deliver data driven insights. On campus, I serve as a Venture Capital Research Analyst with the UNC Impact Investing Fund, where I help research investment opportunities for the $120K+ ACES Impact Fund through a sustainability and climate resilience lens. I am VP of Leadership Development for Scholars of Finance, where I work to develop values driven future finance professionals. I am also UNC Ascend\'s Finance Chair, where I manage the finances for a pan-Asian business organization.I care deeply about civil discourse and collaboration. If you are interested in finance, data analysis, or public policy, I would love to connect!
