   Lead cross-functional team efforts to refactor analytical logging data across all engineering tech stacks, from product data generation to analytical data consumption * Provide data management and modeling expertise to all teams across Slack using a variety of different modeling paradigms: OLAP, OLTP, and semi-structured SQL in JSON * Optimize data engineering workflows to reduce data metric creation timelines and improve team throughput * Collaborate directly with all data stakeholders to ensure data sets provided meet or exceed their needs * Develop dashboards and pipelines using complex queries, Airflow, and other tooling, to provide data products for use by a broad range of teams at Slack * Develop and teach a data engineering training class to provide software engineers with a technical understanding of analytical data needs. This class is required for all new engineers who join Slack * As always, create documentation so good, people still talk about it years later…
