About Nedim Hakimi

With over 20 years of experience in recruiting and human resources, I am a Senior Talent Advisor at MITRE, a not-for-profit company that operates multiple federally funded research and development centers. I also serve as an Advisor to UCIG Inc, a boutique private investment group that focuses on emerging technologies and markets. As a talent advisor, I provide strategic advice, guidance, and resources to the leaders, managers, and staff of three of the Innovation Centers at MITRE, which are dedicated to addressing the emerging and complex challenges of national and global significance using cutting-edge technology, analytics, and science. I help attract and retain top talent in the fields of Electronic Engineering, AI, Analytics, Systems Engineering, and Emerging Technologies, by creating and implementing effective and inclusive recruitment strategies, processes, and practices. I am passionate about fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and diversity at MITRE, and contributing to its public interest charter.

   The MITRE Corporation is a not-for-profit company that operates multiple federally funded research and development centers (FFRDCs). Our centers support our sponsors with scientific research and analysis, development and acquisition, and systems engineering and integration. We also have an independent research program that explores new and expanded uses of technologies to meet our sponsors’ needs.We provide innovative, practical solutions for some of our nation\'s most critical challenges in defense and intelligence, aviation, civil systems, homeland security, the judiciary, healthcare, and cybersecurity.MITRE is chartered to work in the public interest. We have no commercial interests. We have no owners or shareholders, and we can\'t compete for anything except the right to operate FFRDCs. This lack of commercial conflicts of interest forms the basis for our objectivity. We also have the ability to acquire sensitive and proprietary information from the government and industry to inform our work. These organizations are able and willing to share data because they know we won\'t use it for a competitive advantage.Moreover, because we operate multiple FFRDCs, we foster a culture of knowledge sharing. We apply what we learn from addressing one sponsor\'s challenges to similar issues faced by other federal agencies.
