As an Occupational Therapist, I strive to help patients realize their own potential in recovering from life-changing injuries and debilities. By teaching my patients the right modifications and adaptations to navigate their diagnosis, I guide them in how to excel with self-sufficiency and independence in their day-to-day lives so they can take back control and increase the quality of their lives. Through experience, I have learned that mentoring, emotional support, and being cognizant of a patient\'s human experience is paramount to me. It is also what gives me the most personal and professional satisfaction. While I often witness highly charged emotions—frustration, anger, and depression—in patients, I respond by offering compassion, patience and honesty with a designed plan of care that is 100% patient-centered.
