ABOUT NEDA LEONARD

Dr. Leonard is a dual board-certified pharmacist (in Pharmacotherapy and Geriatrics) with 20 years of experience. She completed her Doctor of Pharmacy after obtaining a Master of Science in drug metabolism. She has worked in a variety of settings including hospital, ICU, clinic, and long-term care consultant. Dr. Leonard is Mayo-certified in pharmacogenomics (PGx) and has experience analyzing PGx test results and drafting medication optimization solutions for patients and providers. Her experience in a variety of settings such as hospital, Program for All-inclusive Care for Elderly (PACE) and clinics allows her to work alongside providers and assist with actionable pharmacy consultation. She enjoys solving medication puzzles to mitigate polypharmacy, drug-gene interactions, and unwanted side effects using a comprehensive approach to patient care. She is a seasoned speaker locally and nationally on various subject matters such as pharmacogenomics and polypharmacy. She has precepted pharmacists and students throughout her career. She has published in Drug Metabolism Reviews and was featured in THE CONSULTANT PHARMCIST Journal. Being board certified for 15 years in geriatric pharmacy, she enjoys helping our seniors achieve better quality of life with medication optimization. She realizes that “home” is where many of our seniors prefer to be and hospitalizations are to be avoided. Helping patients, caregivers and providers optimize & personalize medications is her passion.
