View department →

As Vice President of Global Market Strategy, I map the frontiers of opportunity across the decarbonized economy. Charting the macro terrain of climate policy, regional dynamics, and technological disruption to shape ION Clean Energy’s market vision. My work blends analytical rigor with commercial foresight: dissecting carbon capture trends, benchmarking the competition, and translating global complexity into localized go-to-market strategies.Whether I’m evaluating the viability of aluminum smelters in Quebec or data center hubs in Malaysia, my focus is on illuminating the path from possibility to execution. I partner across product, sales, and executive teams to define target markets, pressure test new opportunities, and ensure our commercial playbook is tuned for impact. My fundamental approach: see the forest beyond the trees, ask calibrated questions, and deliver insights designed to drive growth with precision and purpose.

ABOUT NED BROWN

Determined to play a key role in the energy infrastructure transition before us, Ned Brown has built a career in post-combustion carbon capture project development. I work with capital partners and point source emitters searching for ways to meet their environmental & sustainability goals through partnership and collaboration to solve challenging problems. Before ION Clean Energy, I was immersed in the natural food industry, a fast-paced start-up environment. The startup experience enabled me to quickly grow my skill set beyond operations incorporating brand management. As I advanced and excelled through my career in natural foods, I achieved the technical and relational skills to be able to manage key supplier relationships as well as lead product formulation. My undergraduate degree in Integrative Physiology encouraged an entrepreneurial spirit, incorporating all areas of the business to create a systems approach to success. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife Tighe and our two dogs in the foothills of Colorado. You can find me mountain biking, skiing, or fly fishing. And if that is not enough, I am a world traveler having visited over 22 countries.
