Reviews, interprets, and implements the operational policies for the banks secondary market function. Recommends changes to such policies to the SVP Retail Banking. • Recommends and administers the procedures necessary to ensure the complete evaluation and documentation of secondary market deals. • Coordinates the assembly and perfection of loans for sale in the secondary market. • Participates in establishing rates and terms for saleable and in-house products. • Contacts secondary mortgage brokers to present the bank\'s loan package and to negotiate the terms and conditions. • Handles the loan origination function. Assigns work to the loan assistant, coordinates workflow, answers questions, and resolves problems. • Interviews customers applying for residential and consumer loans. Explains the different financing and programs available through the bank, their in-house and secondary market requirements and obtains pertinent financial and loan information from the customer. Analyzes the customer\'s financial posture to determine if it meets the bank\'s minimum loan criteria. • Coordinates assembly and perfection of loans for sale to the secondary market. Ensures compliance with underwriting criteria. • Assists with loan operations and servicing issues. • Assists in CRA outreach and ascertainment efforts. • Follows bank policies and procedures and makes recommendations for revision and change as appropriate. • Participates in community affairs to increase the bank\'s visibility and to enhance new business opportunities. • Assists in construction loan inspections. • Disburses construction loan funds after ordering and reviewing proper documentation, such as construction progress inspection, mechanic\'s lien waivers, site inspection etc. and review with Senior Lending Officer. • Performs related responsibilities as assigned and undertakes special projects as assigned by Senior Loan Officer.
