Neal McPherson has over 20 years of land surveying, project management, planning, design, and construction experience in all phases of land development, public works, and utility projects. He spent the first 10 years of his career working as a field surveyor, performing boundary surveys, topographic surveys, control surveys, ALTA’s, as-built surveys, construction staking, and utility as-builts. Neal then gained experience as an office surveyor processing data, creating topographic surveys, boundary analysis, ALTA mapping, record mapping, utility mapping, land entitlement, legal descriptions and plats, construction calculations, as-built profiles as well as site design and pipeline design under the direction of a licensed engineer. In 2011, he obtained his Professional Land Surveyors License in the State of California while working as a Survey Manager in responsible charge of 6 survey crews as well as an office team for 3+ years. Neal then transitioned to project management and program management while attending the University of Redlands and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. Neal’s duties at VanLen include performing office work, project management, management of safety, budgets, allocation of resources, professional certification, quality assurance, and client support.
