Leaving a military career to return to civilian life is challenging and daunting for many military candidates. The advice and guidance of an experienced executive recruiter can help navigate the job market and lead candidates to positions that highlight their unique skill sets. With extensive experience in the military, I understand the needs and challenges that military candidates face as they enter the job market, and I work to ease this transitory period for them and assist them in finding a civilian career.Have spent over 20 years helping fellow veterans find gainful employment in the civilian sector. Two things drive me, one is the thrill of competition and the other is the enjoyment I get notifying a veteran that they have been offered a wonderful opportunity. After spending 8 years in the military as both a Military Staff Instructor and an E5 in the Navy Nuclear Program handling radiation and contamination of the nuclear reactor, I transitioned to the executive recruiting industry. I then joined Lucas Group in 2005 where, as a Senior Executive Search Consultant in the Military Transition division, I help military individuals find well-suited positions in civilian life in a wide variety of industries from manufacturing to power. My experience allows me to give first-hand knowledge to his candidates and provide insight on military candidates to his clients. I find myself in a unique position to focus more directly on helping veterans after finding new employment with Orion Talent, a powerhouse in the military recruiting industry. While the recruiting industry can be marked by many day-to-day challenges, the personal reward of an ideal placement allows me to work through difficult situations to find the perfect match. Assisting fellow veterans in their job search and finding great jobs for them is what keeps me constantly engaged and focused in my career. My greatest satisfaction comes from helping military candidates land a well-matched position where they can grow and excel. Connecting with my candidates on a deep level, I consider my candidates family, rather than business partners.
