About Neal Jere

I am an eager fourth-year mechanical engineering student with a desire to attain real-world experience in engineering and software development through a full-time position. My background in mechanical engineering has helped me lay a strong foundation in developing critical thinking skills, which I have utilized to learn software engineering principles. I aim to apply my self-learned and industry-learned software skills to explore the intersection of machine learning, computer vision, and robotics. Along with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, I am pursuing a Minor in Robotics at UT Austin.

   Designed and implemented a C++/C-based binary file parser to extract and process bounding volume hierarchy (BVH) data for a GPU profiling tool, extending ray-tracing analysis capabilities.– Constructed a TypeScript/React-based visualization widget for the app’s integrated viewer, enabling interactive rendering and analysis of hierarchical 3D scenes.– Presented results to internal engineering teams, facilitating the successful integration and deployment of new features for the ray-tracing analyzer extension
