Devoting working time to the business of the group and complying with the companies poicies, processes and systems, ensuring that they are consistently applied and continuosly improved.*Visiting member companies offices, workshops, sitesand preparing a written report on all inspections bringing all safety issues to the attention of the member companies management, before leaving the office,workshop or site inspected.*Providing advice on-Changes in legislation-Provisions and requirements of Statutes and Statutory Regulations in relation to Health Safety, and Welfare within the member companies business-The prevention of injury to personnel-Improvements in current working practice with the formation of Safety Plans and Risk Asessments to achieve this-The safety and suitability of new and hired plant and equipment, in particularensuring that all appropriate test certificates are obtained abnd damage to plant and equipment is avoided-New methods of good working practice arising from current technological development.*Investigating Accidents and Dangerous Occurences. Formulating a full reportrelating to these incidents with a conclusion and recommendation of measures to prevent a reoccurence.*Carrying out Annual Health and safety Reviews including members Management Documentation, their safety performance, accident rates and trends.*Assisting with members training requirements including Abrasive Wheel Safety and General Tool Box Talks.*Liasing with officials and professional bodies such as The Health and Safety Executive, Fire Authorities etc.*Supporting and undertaking other projects or resposibilities as required.
